In Search of the Perfect Center Table (Series)
In my previous blog post, I mentioned that I do not have a center/coffee table in my condo. I used to own one but I accidentally broke the glass-top and was told I needed to pay 10,000 pesos for the glass to be replaced. If you want to know if I had the glass replaced, the answer is NO!
I disposed the useless furniture piece, thus, I am officially "center table-less" for more than 5 months already.
I did not like my old center table anyway. Never did. Its color was off compared to the rest of my decorative pieces, the overall look was heavy and it made my living room look small. It's as if a UFO landed at my front door and aliens left something inside my pad - an odd looking center table that did not at all belong in that space.
My sister gave it to me around 3 years ago and although it was dreadful looking, it was nonetheless, free so I took it off her hands. I hope she won't be able to read this blog. I hated it big time because it was, to put it simply, ugly!
So, my challenge at this point is to replace the departed center table. Not a tall order you may think, I thought so too. I have been searching high and low for a table to call my own but up until now, the search has been fruitless. I have seen numerous center tables - from the cheapest to the pricier ones. I have even seen a Tweety-Bird-inspired center table - it was so cute I wanted to smash it (no offense to Tweety collectors out there)!
Of course, I don't have an open-budget - which makes it even harder to find a center table I want and I can buy. I would say I am willing to spend 4 to 5 grand for a center table, nothing more than that.
This coming week I will be on constant "Center Table Hunt Mode" and will feature the item I eventually buy. It may take another week or so, but hopefully not more than a month's period. If I am undecided, I will take pictures of promising candidates and post them here. Hopefully you can help me decide what to get.
Let the hunt start now.
Drying Hair Works Better than Hair Cement
I, being a vainglorious individual, adore how my hair flows down to take the shape of my neck and shoulders. It gives the impression of grace for an innocent onlooker, especially when my locks follow the wind’s general direction. The problem is, I happen to be a straight guy, who in all default angles, don’t know much about hair care as compared to the average woman. Read article »
How to Make Your Garden Pet Friendly
I wish I could show you my pet lab, Sirius, who is about to turn three years old next February, but he’s so active and kind of camera-shy so it’s kind of impossible at the moment. When I first got him, he was this small puppy and it was so hard to imagine that he would grow up any taller than he is now. When he first came home, though, my mom took one look at him and asked, “What about the garden?” Read article »
Mural Miracles
I was at a bar here in Baguio City when I saw some pretty looking murals painted on the walls of the place. I think it was the beer talking, but I think that if you have a lot of artistic talent, you can use murals and other homemade artwork on your home. Read article »

The centre piece of our living room is like the centre of the universe of our lives.
It has to be something which is you and says something about you.
I tend to like anything with glass on it, perhaps something with a glass top, but closed below.

Have you been to BLIMS? They usually have nice table tops there. Not to metion that they are not so pricey.

How about using an ottoman for a center table? It can serve as a center table, a foot rest or an additional seat if you have guest.
